Ripple Effect is a cause‑and‑consequence puzzle game where every action sends out a wave that alters adjacent elements on a hexagonal board. Your task is to place stones of varying weights so that the resulting ripples cancel out specific “disturbance” nodes. Each level is solved when all disturbances are neutralised, and the overarching goal is to calm the entire archipelago.
The game features 242 ripple boards, each with a unique disturbance pattern. Early boards have three to five nodes and simple weight combinations; advanced boards feature up to twenty nodes with overlapping wave interference. We introduce “storm surge” boards alongside major updates, adding unpredictable temporary disturbances.
The aesthetic combines azure blues and sandy beiges, with animated water textures that respond authentically to your stone placements. The hexagonal grid is clearly demarcated, and each ripple is visualised as a translucent expanding ring. Feedback is immediate and satisfying, with a subtle sound cue accompanying each neutralisation.
A “tide guide” highlights which stones best counter a given disturbance, and you can collect “calm pearls” to unlock ambient sea‑shanty tracks. Offline progress is automatic, and you can reset individual boards at any time.
